inca cat mittens

Inca cat mittens are traditional colorwork mittens with a two color ribbing and a peasant thumb. Incan textiles from Peru were the inspiration for the motif designs on these mittens. The cat and the border pattern come from a garment panel, while the design on the palm was loosely adapted from a poncho. The pattern includes charts, photos and written instructions.

The pattern is done in fingering weight yarn in 5 colors. The yardage required varies from 138 yards to 26 yard, depending on the the color.

There is a matching hat pattern.

Die Anleitung ist auf deutsch erhältlich.
