NHK26-3 Felted Cabled Bag

This is just a fabulous felted bag for many reasons. First, you make it in long strips (so you could customize the handle lengths if you want them longer), which makes it ideal travel knitting. Second, there is a variety of cable stitches, so it's hard to get bored. Third, the design is subtle and beautiful, and allows for a tremendous amount of colourplay. Fourth, because the strips are not very wide, you could practice knitting back backwards (KBB: knitting from left to right and then right to left, without turning the work; instructions on the net), a useful skill. And it fits anybody! A great gift, too. This marvellous feltable yarn is now produced by Rowan. From Nashua Handknits Book 26, Designer Bags.
