9710 Cardigan
WEB EXCLUSIVE

This is a lovely warm hybrid of a piece. It starts out all ordinary and straight-sided, marching up toward the beginning of raglan sleeve shaping; then all of a sudden you cast off the back and sleeves. You then pick up stitches across the right front, sleeve, back, left sleeve, and left front, and shape the yoke all in one piece with decorative K2tog decreases. We're not sure why you have to cast off and then pick up again (couldn't you just leave the stitches live?), but regardless, it's a very snappy look, and the finishing at the end is minimal.
