JB099 Waistcoat

When knowledgeable knitters see this glorious garment for the first time, their eyes will light up. It's the vine lace pattern. It looks amazingly involved, but it's really only four rows. And two of those are purled. And the two active RS rows are exactly the same, only offset by one stitch. Isn't that brilliant? Effectively, you only have to get used to one row of patterning-- you just have to watch where you place it. So buy with confidence, and knit with pleasure. There's a bit of waist shaping (just to torment the onlooker), but that's not hard. Neck and armhole shaping occur at the same time, so that's even easier. And really, when can't you wear this?
