9768 Sweater

This is a "sweater" the way the Mona Lisa is a "picture". It's really a wondrous, lovely, almost Chinese puzzle box of a sweater that's fascinating (but not hard) to knit. The front and back are almost the same, knit out of individual patterned triangles (see schematic on the data page); the back has one where the open V-neck is on the front: this yields a total of six triangles on the back, five on the front, eleven overall. Assemble these (and the side triangles and borders), sew in the raglan sleeves, finish the neck a little, and you have a breathtaking garment. The patterning is all right and left increases and decreases and bobbles-- no cabling.
