NHK33-6 Shawl Collar Vest
We are thrilled to see this, because it is equal parts so handsome and so useful. We use the word 'handsome' advisedly; this looks to be an indispensable piece for dudes, too, as part of your outerwear (maybe adjust the bottom ribbing). Back and front are of course shaped the same, with a large cutout on the front neck to accommodate the shawl collar (this is not knit separately, but picked up and sewn down at the neck's base with no extra shaping). Back neck is dipped, shoulders are sloped. Body fabric is presented in reverse st st, but of course you could make it st st if you liked just by flipping the fabric before assembly.
This design is from Nashua Handknits Book 33, Quarry.
