NHK36-9 Lacy Jacket

The body stitch pattern here is an ancient one, and easy to work-- only four rows, and only two of those featuring anything but knits and purls. The silhouette, too, is very traditional, with straight sides and untapered raglan sleeves and a modest V neck. So where does the distinction come from? Well, from the semi-transparency of the lace pattern-- it's very peek-a-boo-- and the offsetting of the buttons away from the front bands (you crochet buttonloops). Small points, but essential ones; Snyder knows exactly what she's doing. Original yarn was a heavy worsted knitting to 4 sts to 1"/2.5cm on a US8/5mm needle.
