Tonia Barry

for Classic Elite Yarns   2012

9197-1 Perdita

Barry says simply: "A cardigan worked sideways, from the center out."

True, but why are there balloons? It must be because it's so pretty and worthy of celebration. The stitch patterns look to be much more complex than they are. There are garter, ridge, and honeycomb stitches. The first is all knit stitches; the second is stocking stitch with an extra purl row; the third is slip and knit stitches. Perfectly suited to Liberty Wool.

Originally published Fall 2012 in Liberty Wool Kids, a printed collection of designs.
