NHK23-2 Kimono Jacket with Ties

Here Master Knitter Patrick interprets a Japanese kimono style into something bigger, better, on a playful American scale. The sleeves and back are gathered somewhat for a full, flirty effect. Interestingly, the rich 1 x 1 ribbing is done with the Aran-weight (heavy worsted) yarn doubled; the rest of the piece is done with a single strand. The full sleeves are lightly set in. All the visual charm is apparent right away, but imagine the comfort of wearing it. From Nashua Handknits Book 23, Skate.
