9588 Cardigan and Waistcoat

This is an extremely simple pattern with an absolutely stunning result. Look-- in every conventional way this is a standard set-in-sleeve cardigan. But by simply trapezoiding the right side with wrapped short rows, you get this gorgeous, asymmetrical, cascading effect. It's pretty useless talking about it: either you get it or you don't. Personally we're gobsmacked. And it's so perfect in the Softspun DK, with its silvery shimmer and tendency not to curl much (the st st edges are unfinished here).
