3664 Family Guernsey Sweaters

Not every authentic gansey has to be a knitting extravaganza. There are perfectly modest and just as authentic examples to be had; here is one, with traditional welt elements, sleeve gussets (though the sleeves are knitted separately!), and the customary rib and garter ridges. Many would prefer the simplicity of this design over more elaborate ones. Certainly it is solid and honest and good. The directions (for 14 sizes, yes, FOURTEEN) are all on one page. In very small type. Get magnifying glasses.
