Norah Gaughan

for Classic Elite Yarns   1991

364 Barnyard Guernsey
WEB EXCLUSIVE

This gorgeous worsted-weight guernsey looked great in 1991 and looks great now. It would look great on men or women. It would be great to make. Its shaping is very simple, with only the front neck having any kind of curve; everything else is a straight edge (work sleeve increases inside edge stitch). Within the straight edges, there are the knit/purl patterns demanding a little concentration because of the RS/WS issues. So you have the best of all possible worlds while making, and the joy of wearing it ever after. Try Renaissance instead of the departed Tapestry, but be sure to get gauge.
