James C. Brett

JB120 Cardigan

Straight sides, nicely curved armholes, good high sleeve caps and a well-defined ribbing to curve the waist... what else? Optional pockets that sit above the ribbing, and look particularly striking when rendered in a variegate or yarn with some interest-- as in the Moonlight Sonata in the big picture. As so often with plainer cardi designs, the ease you choose-- how tight or loosely you want the garment to fit-- is crucial. 4" of ease or more, and you're conservative/casual; 2" or less, and James Bond would have been Mr. Moneypenny instantly.
