To our publishers and customers

[June 16, 2019] The site has now stopped selling patterns.

[April 30, 2019] After almost 11 successful years in business, Patternfish will cease selling patterns on 16 June, 2019.

We will continue to make our customers' stashes accessible to them to the end of 30 June, 2019, in order to provide them with time to save their purchased patterns to their personal hard drives.

Thank you all so very much for your enthusiastic support over the years.  It has meant an enormous amount to us.

JB118 Waistcoat

A marvellous combination of garments: not merely a waistcoat, but a pinafore and cardigan and short-sleeved top, too, embellished with braid cable panels only on the fronts. The back is plain st st. The whole 'skirt' is A-line, decreasing gently as you move up the piece towards the shoulders. Comfortable, flowy, and proof against the coldest room. We love how the length covers your bottom and gives the impression of wearing a dress, when of course anything trousery underneath it is fine. A lighter-weight variation in Aran yarn is available here.
