James C. Brett
JB086 Jacket (ages 1 - 12)
How Brett can combine the highest style with the easiest knitting, for kids yet, is a mystery. But this is a very chic piece for girls, particularly in this long-repeat variegated yarn. Look at the fit across the shoulders-- the sleeves have high caps and the armholes are perfectly cut. The 'skirt' is A-line, decreasing slightly, evenly across the circumference as you work up. The collar is picked up and worked all in one piece, with only one row of increases across the back of the neck to facilitate the turnback: no short rows, just increasing and ribbing. And what a look!
