JB049 Hooded Sweater (ages 3 - 14)
WEB EXCLUSIVE

The Hoodie. It's an urban icon of a garment now, available in sweatshirt fabric everywhere. But we love this British take on a female version. First, look at the sleeve caps and how they set into the armhole and shoulder: meticulous tailoring (and if you don't want that close a fit, make a size or two larger than she needs). Second, the hood is shaped a bit more than usual (see alternate photo); more refinement. Third, while the pockets are not patch, they remain optional; one change would be to make a rectangle with ribbing at each of the long ends, and sew it on crossways across the front, to make a kangaroo pocket. Or just leave it plain. Straight sides, but as body-conscious as your taste decrees.
