462 Lace Turtleneck Pull
WEB EXCLUSIVE

Here Newton enjoys the contradiction between the heavy luxe softness of the yarn and the simple, light, airy lace pattern she works into it. The arrow lace pattern is a historic one with lots of tradition behind it-- just like alpaca fabric-- and the two together seem a natural combination. The shoulders are a straight drop and the sleeve tops are flat, but since the lace provides extra drape, the flow of the garment seems uncompromised. From 1994.
