Here is a dainty breeze of a cardigan to work for summer. The back is plain st st; all the interest is visible at the front. You work the lace panels of a piece with the fronts, so there's no extra finishing there later; borders are extended above the shoulder and sewn down to meet at back neck. Buttonhole placement is really up to you-- you just make a button loop and place the button opposite that (diagrams for loop and attaching button are provided). Note that the row gauges for Raffaella DK and the Softspun DK differ slightly from a conventional DK-- they're a little more compressed, at 30 rows to 4"/10cm rather than the more standard 28.
