Jile Vest (ages 6 - 12)
Happy child recipe: take one child, add their favorite clothing and finish off with "Jile Vest". Then send them outside to play!
Jile Vest features fair-isle inspired front panels, complimented by a sideways knit body. A long-stripe colorway gives the front panels and body 'color-blocking' a fun look that kids like. Add some unique & fun buttons for a vest that will see lots of wearing time.
A special feature of this vest is that the front band/neckline trim goes all the way around the back neck, unlike most garments with hoods. This gives shape & support for the entire neckline, and allows the hood to be an optional feature.
The construction of Jile Vest is fairly straightforward, with sts picked up from one front panel to work the body, which is then attached (seamed or grafted) to the other front panel. Seam the shoulders and you're ready to add the trims & hood.
