Kate Lemmers
for Nashua Handknits
NHK40-6 Side to Side Cardigan
WEB EXCLUSIVE
We just love this, and wanted to give Lemmers a chance to explain the 'Intermediate' rating-- so we included the schematic outline among the data pages and quote her: "This garment is worked back and forth in rows in two pieces, each beginning at the bottom of the sleeve. After shaping the sleeve, stitches are cast on at each side for the lower body. The Back and Front are worked in one piece to the neck edge, then divided for working separately in the case of the left side. The left side does not stop at center back, but continues all the way across the back neck. The back of the right side is worked only to where the front divides for the neck. During finishing the live stitches of the backs are grafted together where they meet at the right neck edge." Otherwise, if you can work elementary lace, duck soup.
