Chris Bylsma

for Chris Bylsma Designs   2012

"Cool, classy and just a bit flirty – everything you need in a summer top," says Bylsma. "Perfect for pairing with jeans, a skirt or a suit to keep your cool. You’ll love how this cool top feels – after it’s washed. Linen is somewhat stiff while knitting and can change gauge after washing so be sure to buy extra yarn and make a generous swatch in pattern stitch – at least 40 sts and 5-6 inches long – to check your gauge. This is not a good time to “guess”. Toss the swatch in the washer and dryer (it will seem “ragged” until
you do), then measure. You may need to count rows rather than inches while knitting to make sure your length is accurate after washing. Pointy tip needles make it easier to work the twisted knit stitches." Waist is indented after the hip, but no further shaping is needed!
