Robin Melanson

NHK39-1 Cap Sleeve Top

"The body is worked in the round from the lower edge up to the armholes," explains Melanson, "with decreases and increases in the reverse stockinette panels to shape the waist. At the start of the yoke, stitches are bound off at each underarm, and new stitches are cast on for each cap sleeve. The rest of the yoke is worked in the round to the neck edge." Great involving fun to make. The yoke pattern is done with twisted stitches, and Melanson writes out exactly how to do each one required. At the end, wearing it, you will look like a dainty little present with a degree in architecture. From Nashua Handknits Book 39, Creative Focus Silk.
