116 Serendipity

What is so fantastic about this pattern? This pattern was designed with hand spun yarn in mind. Any fingering weight yarn will work for this pattern, but often we buy the beautiful hand spun yarns and then can't think of anything to do with them. No matter how you have or someone else has spun the yarn, no matter how kooky the color variations are in the skein, no matter what you have with which to knit, your scarf is going to knit up beautifully!

The pattern is simple: purl every odd row and work four even rows of simple stitches. After the first few repeats, the stitch pattern is obvious and easily memorizable. Who doesn’t love a pattern that can be knit in front of the TV or during a long drive? Don't have 450 yards of yarn? No problem! Knit until you run out of the yarn you do have. The beauty of this pattern is that it’s really just simple, easy, and beautiful!
