Venus Vest
The Venus Vest is a graceful garment with lace stripes running vertically on the body, flattering for any woman. The lace changes above the bustline to add extra interest, and the entire garment flows softly over the body.
The vest is worked by knitting the lower body from side-to-side without seams. Then stitches are picked up across the back and knit up to the shoulders, with the same procedure for the fronts. Shoulders are joined (this is the only sewing) and armhole edges are added. A few suggestions are given for front closures.
