A colourful triangular shawl knitted from the centre back of the neck in a very special yarn with long colour changes (this one is EQ). Motif is based on an old Anatolian pattern, but I think Eliza Doolittle might have liked to wear this on those cool London mornings. Knitted in the round using a steek, which is then cut and wrapped in a stocking stitch binding to neaten up the edges.

I have just started knitting this shawl. I too was a little daunted and I consider myself an experienced knitter. The pattern works so far.
I am a little baffled by the interesting cast on and the shape of the initial 9 rows.
Any thoughts?

Has anybody actually knit this shawl other than the original designer and how successful were you? Just reading over the pattern scares me and I am an experienced knitter. I have ordered the original yarn used for this piece.
Would love feedback.

Not sure what you mean about the 'interesting cast on' - what is baffling you? It starts out a little pointy but will easily block straight - have a look at the pictures here and on Ravelry and see it being blocked.
Any questions - feel free to email me - the email is on the pattern at the bottom
