Front and back necks are shaped, as are the shoulders; the fella may not notice, but the wise will appreciate the grace this adds to the fit. And the sleeves are peasant style, meaning that the armholes are indented once and the flat sleeve tops set into that long notch. The overall blocks pattern is a splendid showcase for yarns with some interest in themselves, too. This design is from Nashua Handknits book 33, Quarry.
