Here is a cardigan that is dainty but austere, feminine and reserved all at once. The sides of the garment are straight, but the sleeves quite tailored with a decided bell shape. The shoulders are sloped, and the armholes quite indented with the sleeve caps high: a dressmaker's fit, considering this is a knitted garment. The yarn itself was a modest, bottomlessly soft and light 100% alpaca with a remarkable calm halo, but a smooth substitute would give gorgeous results too. From Nashua Handknits Book 22, Theater.
