This dainty cardi is way easier than it looks. First, the lace edgings at hem and cuffs are worked first and then grow into the body pieces, and are not picked up afterwards. Second, the body pattern is indeed just a regular series of purl ridges-- few can't do that. (The architecture aficionado will be reminded of vermiculation on fine old buildings.) The garter front border is worked all in one piece. Sleeves are set in, but not so much that sewing the sleeve into the armhole would be challenging. Would be lovely in subtle variegates, too.
