Knitted skirts can be a discipline unto themselves. Ideally you want something that won't 'seat', and this is where the Riveting really shines: you are required to machine wash and dry it, so the fabric can be refreshed often. And Rosner never puts a foot wrong. You begin in the round with the pleated hem, and work up, decreasing as you go-- but you decrease evenly all the way around, so there is no front or back to the skirt-- you can wear it any way around you want (a help with children). And it's just beautiful, too. The only sewing is encasing the elastic at the waist.
