Lesley Jennings
for Mountain Colors c.2009
Back to Basic Sideways Cardigan
WEB EXCLUSIVE
"Sweater is knit cuff to cuff from left sleeve to right sleeve," says Jennings. And in one piece, which makes a splendid big piece of fabric that can warm your lap in the winter while you're working on it. The sideways construction means that the variegations land up on the vertical, which is flattering beyond belief. Jennings also includes instructions for the one-row buttonhole, which, if you've never done it, is quite magical. At the end, all you have to sew is the side and sleeve seams.
