Jodi Lewanda
for Nashua Handknits
NHK32-1 Center Rib Tunic with Optional Belt
WEB EXCLUSIVE
Very simple, very elegant, and very beautiful. The back is plain st st; Lewanda places the broken rib panel on the front only. And she shapes the piece carefully at the waist and back neck; the shoulder appearance is your own, because of the raglan sleeves, which are very fully-fashioned, and therefore add to the linearity of the piece. The belt is cleverly begun and ended in I-cord, with the broken rib pattern in the middle; a thoughtful and appealing touch. It would be lovely in a solid or semi-solid colour too, but a long colour repeat looks absolutely splendid in this design.
