The wonderful fluidity of this sweater comes from complete command of cable grammar. Gaughan knows just how to combine the multi-rib centre panel with elongated cables alongside; the effect is especially serpentine.
There's no shaping within the garment except for the front neck, so the fit is loose, swingy even. From 1993.
