Wendy has traditionally been masters of British understatement, with occasional dramatic exceptions. This is a most striking one. You will look like The Queen of The North (or The Princess of The North) wearing it; strangers will ask you if you are an actress. You make the great round cabled capelet part flat, then block and join the two edges at the back neck and seam. You then make either the (shown in red on girl) cabled funnel neck strip-- which has a st st inside-- and sew it on; or you pick up around the perimeter of the cone and make the cowl/turtleneck in the round. We just love these, and are trying to figure out how to wear them in summer.
