Soucy: "This design is one I first published in a child's size, and knitters requested a big girl size. Looks great with skirts or pants, in lots of different yarns. Uses worsted weight yarn at a gauge of 18 sts to 4 inches. Women's sizes x-small through xx-large."
Ed: It's not a surprise that big girl knitters wanted this one for themselves! It gives you waist definition and is therefore flattering to so many of the grownups.
After casting on and shaping the back neck, additional stitches are cast on for the overlapping fronts and the body is knit down to completion. Front bands and collar are picked up and knit in k2, p2 rib, while the sleeves are knit down from held stitches.
