Sometimes what you want is just a lush deep bathrobe-kind-of-coat that you can snuggle into, without worrying about shaping or set-in sleeves or any of that nonsense. Here is real 'boyfriend' styling with drop shoulders (though the sleeve caps are shaped a bit), with the look changing radically depending on whether you make the body and/or sleeves shorter or longer. Nothing's charted, so the directions look a bit wordy, but you'll see how rhythmically the pattern goes once you start. There's minimal extra shaping in the shawl collar (worked in two sections starting at back neck).
