Bergere de France
c.2009
104.67 Asymmetric Cardigan
WEB EXCLUSIVE
This is just pure French sorcery. The right side of the garment is sober enough, and the front wraps around enough to cover both breasts. So the left front and sleeve don't have to cover much... and they don't. This is the kind of thing you would pay $1200 for in a posh shop. But if you're accomplished and ambitious and can work two different kinds of lace, and set-in sleeves, this could be for you. Gauge given over openwork stitch (left side of garment); original yarn was 23 sts to 4"/10 cm on a 3.5mm/US4 needle in st st. If you have trouble finding the Bali, Bergere de France recommends the Cascades-- just be sure and get gauge.
