"A long-line lightweight shaped cardigan with a cute hood," says Soucy. "Written for DK weight yarn at a gauge of 20 sts to 4 inches, the only seam is at the top of the hood. Yarn shown is Frog Tree Alpaca Picoboo, a blend of cotton and bamboo." This is a cardi that manages to combine both a sporty attitude and graceful carriage; both the yarn composition and the lines of the garment reinforce each other. And of course if you cast off the sides of the hood together, or graft them, then there's no sewing at all.
