This stitch pattern is very attractive but not garish, and the cable panel appears only on the front-- the back is simply ribbed like the sleeves. Shoulders and back neck are straight, but look at the fit of the armholes: they're really nicely set in, and the sleeve caps are well-rounded. The hood option is welcome if your lad appreciates them.
