Beautiful, classy, unruffled. This is a cardigan with universal appeal. The 'skirt' is slightly A-line, and features the two cable panels on a moss stitch ground on the back as well as the fronts. at the Empire line, just under the bust, a couple of rows of garter stitch delineate where you transition into smooth st st. Sleeves are likewise plain st st. Armholes are lightly curved, shoulders are shaped, and sleeves have a slight cap. It's a model of restraint and good judgment, and the pattern would 'read' well in most styles of yarn.
