"A fitted lightweight cardigan, written for 20 stitches to 4 inches," explains Soucy. "It has long slightly flared sleeves and a V neck with a tie closure." Americans are renowned for simple sportswear, but here Soucy elevates that aesthetic into near-couture territory with a few deft touches. She mentioned the sleeves and V neck (such a lovely depth), but echoing the seed stitch at the cuffs and hem are the two lovely seed stitch panels down the fronts, worked of a piece with the body of the garment. No sewing at all, not even the ties.
