How many different ways does this cardi express its femininity? There are the easy st st borders, which-- in this lovely cotton-- roll naturally almost into little soft ruffles. There's the belling of the 'skirt' and sleeves, brought back into body-consciousness by a few rows of garter stitch. There's the gentle setting-in of the sleeves for a trim fit. There's the demure little button closure-- but only extending down to under the bust. And lastly the gorgeous lacy bodice pattern, worked only with slipped stitches (no cable needles required).
