This design represents the best of a number of possible worlds. It's intricate-- there's something going on all over-- but the DK-weight yarn means it won't take forever; and the short sleeves (or no sleeves, for a vest) mean the same thing. As a display of textural interest in knitting, it's compelling. Everything fascinates: the bobbled vines, the cable detailing, even the rib. The double moss stitch on the body (that's all the back is, double moss) displays a gorgeous yarn like nothing else. Shoulders are drop, so there are either tiny sleeves with a little cap, or none (see schematic).
