How many ways can Sirdar designers come up with ingenious new ways to do plain, stylishly? Here is a cardi entirely in st st (or reverse st st, which of course is the same thing seen from the other side). There are only two big design elements here. First, the Empire waist (and really, Empire sleeves, too); and the use of the st st and rev st st to delineate them. The Empire shaping is created entirely by decisive decreasing under the bust and in the mid-upper arm. Otherwise sleeves are sweetly set in, and the whole piece is designed to look fabulous in just about any kind or style of DK.
