Fair isle glories that somehow give the impression you are totally au courant with Latvian braid trims and Peruvian chullah traditions, even though those are really just alluded to here. On the red and white set, the alternating MC and CC edges are crocheted on afterwards, which of course helps stabilize the edges. Otherwise it's just straightforward knitting in the round, as wise and skilled persons have done for centuries. This pattern seems a natural companion to Reynolds 990 (available here).
