Handsome in any century, these drop shoulder beauties reflect the best of American and Scandinavian traditions. The hems and collars are just a few founds of garter stitch, judiciously trimmed with a round of contrast colour; the back neck is shaped just enough; the whole gives an impression of casual sophistication. The fair isle patterning is cleverly managed so that there are no carries of more than five stitches, with a pleasing number of sanity rows (i.e., rows of one colour only).
