These are wonderful learning pieces, with each bag featuring garter, linen, eyelet, and Mason stitches-- this last given in a two-colour and one-colour version. The linen and Mason stitches feature slipped stitches. You make the front and back and strap separately, then use part of the strap to form the bottom and sides of the purse-- very sensible. Charts for initials not given, but there are plenty of sources on the web.
