Of course everything here is in the shape. It's so easy a beginner could do it-- and should-- with a straight back neck, slightly curved-in armholes, and a gentle sleeve cap. The sides are straight too, with no waist shaping. All of these features let the lines of the piece speak for themselves. The great diagonal swoops at neck and hip narrow the waist; so do the colour changes along the ribbing. Closure is minimal, and decolletage can be controlled or not, depending on your wish to create havoc amongst onlookers.
