Edging reminiscent of art deco architecture inspired this scarf-– named after the Aldred Building in Montreal, Canada. The edging combines with garter stitch short rows to create a graceful arc and give the scarf depth.

Aldred comes in one size, and the pattern includes written instructions only. For the adventurous intermediate knitter.

(Spectacular, and a winner for men or women. Gauge is given over garter stitch, unblocked-- Ed.)

The pattern is designed to be worked in yarns that knit to a gauge of 20 stitches, in garter stitch, over 10 cm/4 inches on 4.5 mm/US 7 needles.
