"Inspired by an Oscar de la Renta jacket, our version takes off in new directions," says Bryant. "First, shaping: worked side to side with Half Linen, Linen and Garter stitches. Half Linen in the body mixes colors, Linen nips in the waist, and a Garter peplum allows for simple short row shaping. Deep, full dolman sleeves offer ease of movement through the bodice. Second, colors: one great multi-color of Merino Mia (Coral Reef) is paired sequentially with four tonal colors: Copper Penny, Plum Dandy, Blue Lagoon and Moss. Yes, the entire garment is worked with two strands of Mia held together for a quick gauge." (Mia is a size 2 yarn; the size if worked single strand is 4)
