For serious students of the poncho, this is almost a university credit. It is constructed in two pieces from hem to neckband. There is a knit/purl diamond pattern over most of the garment, and a 6-colour fair isle motif around the bottom. The collar is a 1 x 1 rib. The lacing down the front is pretty much purely decorative. Tassel instructions are included too, in case you need them. Gauge given in the pattern is OVER pattern, but is the same as the yarn's gauge in st st with the same needles.
